No Trick - Just Treats - Help us say "Thank You" to the Troops

We're pleased to announce Tri-Cities newest way to say thanks to the troops! It's Operation Cash-for-Candy. Working with Operation Gratitude, we've put together a coalition of health professional offices in the Tri-Cities who will buy back unused or excess Halloween candy and donate it to the soldiers serving our country. It’s a gift they will certainly enjoy, and we hear they use it all the time to befriend the “locals” to get information about I.E.D.’s and other dangers around them.
We’re sure hoping that the local media and the community supports our cause in saying thanks to the troops. We think it will be fun for the kids who want to participate. They’ll get $1.00 per pound of candy they donate, plus they can write a note of appreciation to the troops, and register to win Toys-R-Us gift certificates and other cool prizes – plus get a McDonalds certificate for a FREE McFlurry – while they last.
To learn more, make sure to visit the official web site – http://www.operationcashforcandy.com/ . While you’re there, check out the health offices that are participating and find a location near you that will be a drop-off site. We’re very proud of those who are participating and are helping us to make this project work.
If you’re a veteran or are currently serving in the military and want to have your picture posted on our “Wall of Fame” on the Local Hero’s page, please email your photo and a short statement of support to Dr. Ostler’s email address lee@ostlerdds.com .
AND if you’re a citizen in the community who wants to hand out postcards to the trick or treaters on your street that invites these donations and celebrates the troops, please contact Dr. Ostler at the above address to request free informational postcards.
